What’s an SR-100? It’s a rare sports car produced by California designer Jim Byers between 1953 and 1961. Although 25 were built, only 10 are known to have survived–and this is one of them.

Powered by a 265-cubic-inch Chevy V8 backed by a Muncie M21 four-speed transmission, this SR-100 also features a fuel cell, bolt-in roll hoops and additional side-impact bars.

The listing also notes that the Byers won an award at the 2010 Amelia Island Concours and was also featured on the cover of the February 1957 issue of Road & Track Magazine.

I think the Byers SR-100 looks great!  A very Cobra-esque look - I wonder if Mr. Byers got his inspiration from the AC Ace of 1953.
