This BMW 327/28 has its full ownership history, and a single owner since 1999. It competed in the 1950 Tulip Rally as well as the inaugural 1950 Svenska Rallyt till Midnattssolen (later known as Rally Sweden).
BMW built only 569 BMW 327/28s between 1938 to 1940. This car comes with a Type 328 engine that raised the top speed to 140 km/h (87 mph). The car was a favorite with amateur racers post-War.
This example includes a BMW 328 engine with a Bristol cylinder head. The standard transmission was replaced with a synchromesh Volvo unit.
The car comes with a wealth of documentation, including invoices in excess of 150,000 Euros ($145,950), period photographs and detailed research on the car’s history.
