A name synonymous with speed? Kazuhiko "Smokey" Nagata.
The founder of the tuning shop Top Secret Japan, Smokey Nagata is perhaps most (in)famous for attempting numerous high-speed runs in his wild, high-powered creations–including a V12-powered Toyota Supra good for some 1000 horsepower–on public roads.
When he wasn’t setting speed records, however, Smokey spent his time tuning and modifying cars, and that’s where this R32-chassis Skyline GT-R comes in.
Aside from the custom suspension setup, roll cage and big brake kit, the shining jewel in this car’s list of modifications is under the hood: An “N1” engine said to have been built and modified by Smokey Nagata.
Stroked from 2.6 liters to 2.8 liters, the N1 engine has also been fitted with larger turbochargers, polished heads plus upgraded connecting rods and camshafts.
Find this 1993 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R for auction from Mecum on January 13.
