Kaiser Motors did a manufacturer run of only 1227 for its Kaiser Dragon. That’s 1227. Period. The company only produced the car for 1953 model year. This example is “very original and nicely preserved,” according to the seller.
Kaiser built the Dragon to compete against the highest trim levels offered by Detroit’s Big Three. It came with power steering, tinted glass, a rear speaker and 14k gold-plated emblems straight from the factory. Unfortunately, the Dragon’s more expensive price tag rendered it uncompetitive against its competition.
This example has its original Black Bamboo vinyl and patterned cloth interior. The exterior sports the correct Stardust Ivory paint, factory stainless and chrome trim, and Black Bamboo vinyl top.
It has the correct Supersonic 226-cubic-inch, L-head, inline-six engine and dual-range Hydramatic 4-speed automatic.
