How to turn a production car into a true track weapon? Have Lotus do the performance upgrades. Such was the case for the Lotus Cortina.

This example from 1966 is billed as one of only 200 Lotus Cortinas imported into the United States. Finished in a livery inspired by one of Ford’s most successful factory-backed teams, Alan Mann Racing, the car shows 64,972 miles on the clock.

Discovered in Northern California in 2006, the Cortina was subsequently restored to its current state. Work included stripping the body to bare metal, replacing the weatherstripping, and rebuilding the engine plus the transmission. Rally stop-watches and Carello driving lights were also installed during this time.

Find this 1966 Lotus Cortina available from European Collectibles, price upon inquiry. Hagerty currently values examples in No. 2 condition at $81,400.
