Forbes listed Robert Downey Jr. as the highest paid actor from 2013 to 2015. What did he do with that money? Apparently own this 1965 Corvette–and converted it to electric.
Electrified Garage led the charge to replace the V8-based powertrain with an EV one featuring two Hyper 9 electric motors. Inside they replaced the interior with mushroom-based leather from Evocative. Other than the interior materials and what’s under the hood, the Corvette retains much of its classic looks.
The seller of the vehicle won it in a contest, the RDJ Dream Cars Sweepstakes, which placed the value of the Corvette at $200,000.
