Most Americans won’t recognize the Johnny Cecotto name, but he’s one of the racers who put Venezuela on the map in motorsport. At age 19, he became a motorcycle racing world champ. Later on, he raced in Formula 1 and became a touring car champ. This special edition E30 BMW M3 pays tribute to him.
What comes special with this special edition? A 2.3-liter inline four upgraded to 215 horsepower, black BBS mesh wheels, thinner side and rear glass, a revised rear wing and color-matched valve covers.
Only 505 units were produced of the Cecotto edition. This is No. 354, and it has 123,000km (roughly 76,500 miles).
Find this 1989 BMW M3 Cecotto for auction at Broad Arrow Auctions, with an estimated value of €90,000-€110,000 (approximately $100,000-$125,000 USD).
