How many examples did MG make of the XPower SV-R? Just 42. This is one of them.
What makes the R variant special is that it features a Roush-tuned 5.0-liter V8. It’s rated for 385 horsepower, giving the SV-R a zero-to-60 time of 4.9 seconds.
This example carries just 4600 kilometers, or just under 2900 miles, and was imported to the U.S. under a show or display exemption.

I had previously thought that the XPower SV was just a re-skinned Mustang, but, according to Wikipedia, that's not entirely the case.
The XPower SV is based on the Qvale Mangusta, which used several bits from Ford–namely the 4.6-liter Modular V8.
So I'd say the MG is more akin to a distant cousin to the Mustang.
