Many Talbot-Lago examples command seven figures when sold and, at the very least, attention. However, later models don’t hammer for as high … yet they still get the spotlight. Case in point, this Talbot-Lago T14LS, with an estimated value of $250,000-ish. Despite that price tag, it has displayed on the Pebble Beach showfield.
The T14LS is the last model Talbot-Lago created before being forced to sell to Simca in 1959. The earlier versions, such as this one, used an inline-four engine, which was the last engine developed by the French automaker. Later examples had either a V8 from BMW or Simca.
Talbot-Lago only built 45 examples of the T14LS, per the Talbot-Lago Club. This one wears “an exacting restoration to like-original specifications completed in 2023.” That attention to detail earned it a spot on the showfield at the 2023 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Find this 1956 Talbot-Lago T14LS Coupe up for auction at Mecum, with an estimated value of $225,000-$275,000.
