What’s the car that started off the 1987 ETCC championship run with a victory? It’s believed to be this BMW M3, which won the first race at Donington Park.
As one of BMW’s official teams, Linder Rennsport campaigned the M3 in the European Touring Car Championship. Eventual champion Winfried Vogt drove it, the No. 41, in the series’ first two races before switching to the team car No. 47.
Fast forward nearly 40 years later and this BMW M3 has since been faithfully restored to its 1987 specs. It represents a rare opportunity to own a prime example of one of the best known cars that competed in the ETCC.
