This Rolls-Royce is billed as the fastest production Silver Ghost ever built. Now, it’s available for the first time in 56 years, via a sealed bid auction.
Under the bonnet is a 3000 rpm Alpine Eagle engine that can get the Silver Ghost up over 80 mph. The body itself is a special, lightweight aero one built by A.F. McNeil at Cunard. Captain Broomhall commissioned this build to challenge Bentley and Hispano-Suiza.
The Rolls-Royce is in full working order and the seller says it starts “on the button.”
Find this 1922 Rolls-Royce Alpine Eagle Silver Ghost up for auction at Bonhams, with an estimated value of £1,000,000 (approximately $1,250,000 USD).
