Lancia’s answer to the Porsche 956? The twin-turbo Ferrari V8-powered LC2.
As for this example, it’s billed as the final one to be built and raced by the factory Lancia Martini Racing Team.
The LC2 competed in the 1985 World Sportscar Championship and the 1986 World Sports Prototype Championship, with the likes of Mauro Baldi, Bob Wollek, Andrea de Cesaris and Alessandro Nannini behind the wheel.
Highlights from the car's career include second overall at the 1985 1000km of Brands Hatch and third overall in the 1986 Monza 360 Kilometers. Later, in 2024, five-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro would drive the car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Noted to be eligible for historic Group C racing events all across the globe, the LC2 is accompanied by “an enormous inventory of spare parts,” which includes a complete engine, wheels, tires, brake discs, turbochargers, windscreens and more.
