Chevrolet only offered the ZR2 option for its Corvette for one year–1971. During that run, only 12 were produced. This is believed to the be last of that dozen.
The ZR2 differed from the ZR1 in only one way–it used an LS big block instead of an LT1 engine. It delivered 425 horsepower and was the first Corvette with lightweight aluminum heads.
This example’s considered an export model, too. Why is that? It’s because it was initially shipped to Toronto, Canada.
Find this 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Export ZR2 Coupe for auction at Mecum, with an estimated winning bid of $475,000-$600,000.
