The last Mini Margrave from Wood & Pickett

Over the years, Mini attracted its fair share of customizers. Wood & Pickett built luxury versions of the iconic car, and this is the last to come from the coachbuilder.

The first owner commissioned Wood & Pickett to perform £12,000 of modifications. That’s roughly £34,000 or $43,000 USD in today’s money. Wood & Pickett would go bankrupt during the modification process, which resulted in another shop finishing the planned modifications.

What were some of those mods exactly? A repaint in Rolls-Royce Midnight Blue. An electric sunroof. A 1298cc balanced MG Metro engine from performance specialist Avonbar. Inside, Wilton navy blue carpets sourced to match a sheepskin overmat. To sum it up, no detail went unnoticed. For example, the electric-powered wing mirrors come off a Ferrari 308.

Find this 1990 Mini Margrave by Wood & Pickett up for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $50,000-$60,000.
