This iconic Corvette, a personal project of Zora Arkus-Duntov, competed in the 1957 Sebring 12 Hours and was driven by John Fitch and Piero Taruffi.

Featuring a powerful 283-cubic-inch V8 engine with Ramjet fuel injection and a four-speed manual transmission, this Corvette stands as the sole example with lightweight magnesium bodywork.

In addition to serving as a testbed for early fuel-injection technology that would influence later models, the unique Chevy racer has also been featured in multiple publications, ourselves included: Zora Arkus-Duntov's quest to turn the Corvette into a world-beater.

Find this 1957 Chevrolet Corvette SS Project XP-64 for auction by RM Sotheby’s with an estimated value of $5,000,000 to $7,000,000.
