Iconic design. Famed coachbuilder. Wins at storied races. Noteworthy provenance. And a one of one. This is just some of the reasons why this Talbot-Lago T150C Lago Spéciale Teardrop Coupé stands out.
Gentleman racer and banker Antoine Schumann special-ordered this bodywork from Figoni et Falaschi. It’s the only Teardrop Coupé built on the T150 C Lago Spéciale chassis. When World War II broke out Schumann hid the car while he fled to Egypt.
In 1947, Frédéric Damman, owner of the Magasins Butch clothing stores, acquired the Talbot-Lago, turned it into a race car, and won his class in the 24 Hours of Spa as well as the Belgian Grand Prix. From there it passed through the hands of several notable owners, and now has the opportunity to be yours.
Find this 1938 Talbot-Lago T150 C Lago Spéciale Teardrop Coupé by Figoni et Falaschi for auction at Broad Arrow Auctions, with an estimated value of €4,500,000-€6,500,000 (approximately $5,000,000-$7,000,000 USD).
