Who cares about James Bond when you can be the “James Bond of the Sky” Frank Abagnale? That’s right, this is the car that was used in the 2002 Leonardo DiCaprio film “Catch Me If You Can.”
Despite its stint in Hollywood, the Aston Martin DB5 stands on its own. It’s one of just 193 left-hand-drive examples built. The DB5 carries a matching-numbers engine, although it’s been upgraded to the 4.2-liter specification.
The car spent most of its life in the care of fashion photographer Theo Gruttman. His work appeared in magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Better Homes & Gardens.
Find this 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Coupe up for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $750,000-$900,000.
