I wonder if the view through the periscopio shows anything other than the roof and rear bodywork?

Certainly, Rosso Corsa and Ferrari go hand and hand, which makes a car carrying the Prancing Horse even more striking when it’s in another color. This Ferrari 512 M was the only one delivered in Giallo, which makes it pop, but the car has quite a racing history, too.
This Ferrari was the last prototype to be raced by the famed Écurie Francorchamps. Five-time Le Mans winner Derek Bell and Hugues de Fierlant debuted the car in the 1970 1000 Kilometres of Spa-Francorchamps, where they placed eighth overall. The Ferrari also competed at Le Mans (twice) and Daytona.
It is just one of 25 Ferrari 512 race cars built between 1970 and 1971. It was upgraded to the M specification in 1971, one of only 15 in existence. What makes this 512 M even more special? It has reportedly “never suffered a major collision in period,” according to the seller.
Find this 1970 Ferrari 512 M for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $9,500,000-$12,500,000.
