Rare “triple black” example with less than 9000 miles | Ferrari F512 M for sale

Photography Courtesy RM Sotheby's

Sure, the Ferrari F512 M loses the pop-up headlights of the '80s Testarossa, but a 60-horsepower bump to 446 horsepower might have you forgetting all about lights that go up and down.

One of the last flat 12-powered Ferraris produced, this F512 M is billed by the auction house as a rare "triple black" example–paint, interior and even the floor mats are all black.

Showing less than 9000 miles since new, the Ferrari has also received a recent $21,987 service that replaced belts, plugs, points, gaskets, filters and all four tires.

Find this 1995 Ferrari F512 M available from RM Sotheby’s. Hagerty currently values examples in No. 2 condition at $440,000.

I have yet to see a set of popup headlights that look even half decent when in the up position, not to mention extra aero drag........flush mounts look good all the time, not half the time.  So, is Hagerty saying this 512 is a number 2 ?? Might make a difference when I break open my piggy bank.

Oh. Nice!

Black on black on black is referred to as "murdered out," right?

I cracked up the other week when my car painter friend corrected me and said, "No, we call it the 'Mennonite trim option!'"

Maybe check the driver for hat and suspenders if you see this car drive past.

'Least there won't be a lot of road apples behind this prancing horse!

Triple black only applies when you have a convertable.  Black body, black convertable top and a black interior.
