Want a brand-new BMW Z1? This might be your best opportunity.

Sure, this BMW Z1 is from 1990. However, it’s got less than 100 kilometers (62 miles) on it. What’s even more surprising? It was never sold.

How did this happen? The Z1 was intended to be delivered to France after leaving the factory in October 1990. It never got there. From 1994 to 1996, it was registered by a German dealer. In April 1999, at 75 kilometers, it had its fluids changed. (Hmm … it might be overdue on its next oil change.)

BMW built just 8000 examples of the Z1. This one comes with the rare Wiesmann hardtop. However, while one in 8000 doesn’t sound exceptionally rare, having less than 100 kilometers puts it in a league of its own.

Find this 1990 BMW Z1 Roadster up for auction at Artcurial, with an estimated value of €100,000-€150,000 (approximately $110,000-$160,000 USD).
