If someone can bring it through York PA and grab some parts for me, it might be worth it!

I'm REALLY glad that's not closer. Of course, it it makes it to SVreX it would be a LOT closer.

Me too, and I know the truck well. I'd drive it for a bit.

Not without the leak fixed.

Or a 55 gallon drum of ATF in the back and a hand pump.

However, with a non leaking trans, I would drive it cross country. (again)

OK now I'm picturing the Top Gear episode with the Alfas, where Hammond uses a hand crank to almost prevent his Spyder from overheating...

I'm pretty sure I could pay to put a trans in it for a lot less than a 55 gal drum of ATF.

I know I'm late to the party to this one on purpose, to those that are still wondering about the mileage claims my 88 k2500 with that heavy as hell iron granny 4spd knocked down 28-30mpg on a regular basis. I had waaay oversized tires on it so when the speedo said 65 I was turning closer to 73-74 on the highway so I could keep it in the 60-65 indicated range but other than that it was bone stock. It would routinely break starter bolts, to the point I got enough practice to keep everything I needed to drill and easy out the old bolt and have a new one in, in about 8min handy behind the seat. Including a spare bolt.

I sold it with 350k indicated on the clock, I miss it greatly.
