We are rolling!

From Chattanooga south I'll keep an eye open for a burning miata. Please do the same for me.
We'll be leaving around oh-dark-thirty tomorrow morning for the run down I-75. Wednesday evening in Locust Grove for some Mexican and on to Gainesville Thursday AM. See everyone then !
Heading out Wednesday morning - going to take it a bit easy and stop in Macon for the night. Should roll into the Gateway Grand around lunchtime, refreshed and ready to help out with parking lot builds, and have a bunch of sodas for the non-beer drinkers.

Agreed, although mine is more likely to break in half than catch fire. Then again, there is a lot of questionable wiring, could go either way
In Santee, SC for the night. Jacksonville to pick up the challenge car and onto Gainesville in the morning.
edit: Trip photos
Stopped in Tennessee at mom's. Accordianfolder might stop by tomorrow. Thursday I'm down to 517 miles to Gainesville.
If anyone needs to stop in Atlanta on their way, I live just off 75/85 in the southside. Nice jumping off point for heading down to Gainesville. PM for address, I have plenty of room.
Heading up thursday morning. Finishing up the car and mounting the tires tomorrow. Also loading up the trailer. Excited is an understatment.
Ha! I got to Gainesville on Monday morning. I win round one!
But I kept driving so now I'm in Orlando doing Orlando stuff all while towing the trailer everywhere with us.
I'll be back in Gainesville Thursday morning.
Headed out bright and early Thursday morning, down I-65, I-20, I-75. Bringing my two boys down. This will be my first challenge event and my oldest son's first opportunity to autocross and drag race. He is 16 and has only done the SCCA Street Survival class so far. Autocross school was to be next Spring. Looking forward to it. Bone stock, painfully so, I will probably have the highest treadwear tires there. Anybody got higher than a 340? We use it for a daily driver and he wanted to make it look a little nicer so we were going to try vinyl until it pulled up the much of the ugly peeling clear coat while trying to install it. Let him sand it down to make it a little smoother and he wanted to try painting it so Rustoleum it is. Here is the before picture from when my daughter got it stuck in the mud. I think the after is better, at least from 100ft away at 50mph....Wish me luck. I THINK it will make it but I have been troubleshooting a slow coolant loss for months. I drove it 100 miles or so with no loss after replacing the coolant tank but that was over 3 weeks ago and it hasn't been driven while I was out of town on business and then while we were trying to sand it down and paint it between the rainstorms.....and mmmmm tacos....
I'm frantically going over my checklist and packing stuff in the car when I should be sleeping...supposedly so I can get to work early tomorrow, and leave straight from there...
...it's always last-minute with me, I guess.
