What does the half budget winner get? You know besides the ability to E36 M3 talk all the full budget cars they beat.
Holy E36 M3 that's a lot of award money! Maybe I really should switch plans and just thrash the Free Range Lotus for the next 8 weeks.

Correct. We have to give the higher budget cars some love, too!

Quoted for emphasis I haven't totaled it up but we have to be somewhere near $10,000 right?
Bringing the Zoomboni back with an "I identify as a Miata" sticker on the front. I want to bring something home this time!

I'm glad to see that you've decided to move on from the Escort and build a real race car.

It would be absolutely *awesome* to see Andrew Nelson deliberately build his to $2001 just to be eligible to spank those... you'd see budget arguments in the other direction.
"NO WAY that cost over $2000!"
So an under budget car can set the fastest overall drag time of the event and walk away with a $250 Summit Gift Card, but someone can show up with their Hellcat be the quickest non budget car and win the $2000 miller welder. That seems like a huge slap in the face to the legacy challenge guys.

This raises an interesting question- can one compete in both categories? Set your budget class run, tape a $20 bill to the inside of the windshield and go win overbudget.

Looking at the list, I see $1500 in prizes for under budget cars and a $1500 welder for over budget cars.
