I dont trust any listing that has only 2 or 3 pics and of weird angles and lacking interior and engine bay shots...shadiness is most asuredly afoot

Actually that car has been in our Subie service department, it was diag'd with a bad head or gasket...

I am not surprised it is for sale but not that cheap...

Still, I am not allowed to look at it.

the 96-98 (I think) rs's were mack-a-docious cause they were the only coupe'prezzas ever. I love em.

Realistically speaking, what would be a good estimate of the head gasket repairs? How terminal was it when it was diagnosed?

Thanks.

YOU can do it yourself IF you have the ability to get the engine out of the engine bay.

I think he was quoted ~ $1800.00

I have a low-mileage EG33 (SVX flat 6) that I could be persuaded to sell at an attractive price for this project and i'm only about an hour from Lansing.

Just sayin'...

Actually they made other impreza coupes previous to that as well, but that bodystyle of 2.5RS was made from 98-01.... That overall 1st gen impreza was made from 93-01, then was replaced with the bugeye.

For ONLY $600, just how good do the pix need to be?

Yes, I agree these are crummy shots and why no interior pix?, but some folks don't put any pix in their ads.

I did Subaru HG's, machined heads, valve job, timing belt, tensioner, water pump etc. for about $700 in December.

I emailed this guy a while back and got more bad pictures. It looks like it's been sitting under the ugle tree for a really long time.

you sold a potential racecar so you could afford to race...just kidding man

Yuoire right, some ppl dont include any pics, and I just skip right passed those ads no matter how good the deal sounds. I dont care how crappy the car is or for what low sum of my hard earned cash its being sold for, I want to see the engine bay from a couple of angles, the interior from several angles and every panel on the car. Thats just how I roll, and most people on here would agree.

If those cars are in good shape, they sell for at least $7500, so $600 cant be too terrible of a deal even if the engine is dead.
