LSjuan swap candidate? What could possibly go wrong?

You could put any engine in it but it would still be too heavy, handle like crap, rust and fall apart. Even if they weren't so unreliable they are not really great cars to drive.

Those are words to start another Diesel Tempo thread

I'm seeing curb weights of around 2400 to 2800 lb for this thing.

I would rather get the V6 working nicely but I would bet an aluminum LS-type V8 would drop pounds. Of course, a T56 would probably take some of that back, but at least that's low and centrally mounted weight.
If a guy wanted to do such a swap, a crashed Corvette or Camaro would be an awesome donor. Electrics and all! I of course won't be doing any such thing...

I had a blast.
I had a Spyder project; I want another! I would do a Lexus V8 which I had all lined up before we bought our house. I didn't thing they were bad handling either.

but he survives with only a scrape on his knee, which he suffers when hitting the ground after the wiring disintegrates less than one second into the hanging.
GRM needs to make a special Maserati Bi-Turbo prize at the challenge. I think a nissan VQ swap would be great, especially if someone could actually make the swap with true twin turbos!
But seriously, the Bi-Turbo is eay past due to make a $20XX challenge appearance.

For real. The sale of one of their new Ferrari-ish cars would fund the purchase of every POS BiTurbo on craigslist, and would instantly make the world a better place, in addition to helping the name considerably.
its too far away for me thank goodness. because really, who amongst us wouldn't kike to casually mention in conversations that rhey own a maseratti?
So what exactly is wrong with these things again, and would a GM TBI from a 350 truck, a megasquirt, and a painless wiring kit fix a lot of these issues?
When they're all cleaned up they really do look nice to my eyes, and they're a nice size.

Maybe we could go in halfsies. Not sure it's worth paying state tax to title these twice just to say I wned one... but it's really tempting!
Halfsies...tempting! Both our wives would claim tbat as proof of brain damage though. Lol.
Maybe it would be better to just buy a key and strategically drop it on our desks, begging questions.
