I love this car, but the wife is having a baby and I don't have much money to put into it.
Myself and my car are in Havelock, NC...on the far east coast. I have only had the car in my possession for about a week. :3
Under the hood:
New (about 3k miles) agressive streetported 12a
Racing beat holley intake manifold (new)
Holley 670 cfm carb (new)
Racing beat holley intake system (new)
Racing beat street port exhaust system
Accel coils
Mallory fuel pump/gauge (ready to be installed)
The other stuff:
Tokico hp blue struts front and rear (new)
Racing beat lowering springs (new)
gsl-se swapped front and rear brakes
gsl-se swapped lsd
Bottom line, the car is in GREAT running shape. I just got it and with a baby on the way, I wont have any extra money for it. It does need paint and interior work.

my Absolute bottom dollar price is $2008- I am available to help with shipping on my end, if you set it up. I am also open for trades on a EG or EF civic or even a CRX.
If you wanna chat on the phone about it, email me at frankvest@gmail.com
Bump for Frank and a badass car. People could cause alot of havoc with this car at 2008 challenge.

Dang it.
I would love to work out a trade for my 94 Civic but I have a 7 week old and need a back seat.
Also, reminding myself that it won't get the 38mpg the Civic does.

I know you didn't ask, but my advice is to keep the car. You'll regret selling it.
I had an '84 that I put over 200k miles on from new, and traded it in on a used '93. The FD is fantastic (well, it would be if it were in better shape), but I still miss the '84 - 12 years on.
Like your situation, I had a baby (twins, actually) on the way almost 5 years ago. Rather than sell the FD, which needed some work, I decided to keep it. I haven't had time to work on it since, and it's now a garage queen. But I'm glad I kept it.

The gas I justified to myself by only having a $52 insurance bill...for 6 months. (less than 10 bucks a month) Cheap insurance = more money for gas. Also, it doesn't do to bad on gas as long as you don't put the pedal to the floor. Its for sure not a Honda civic but its not bad, either. Does the same as my wifes SUV...
Henry, The car could easily be a beast at the challenge. Hell, I might enter it. I have right at $2000 in the car right now, as it sits including the cost of shipping.
hrm...
Do you have to factor in shipping when doing the challenge?
edit Guess I do:
All builders shall spend no more than $2008 on their cars. The purchase price of the car must be equal to or less than $2008. Title fees, registration and insurance are not counted toward the budget. Shipping (or transportation costs) of the car and parts used in the building process must be counted toward the budget
