Are the drags times posted anywhere? Very interested to see where we finished!

They're not nicely sortable or anything, but the overall results are here.
In reply to Mndsm :
Yes, Jonathan (surfshibby) got into the 9's in a non-challenge budget Mustang. Won him a welder!

I missed the budget part. That's still awesome.
The car was awesome, a beautiful fox body with a procharged 32 valve modular. It would carry the front tires about four to six inches off the track all the way through first gear, then gently set them down on the shift.
Mndsm said:Am I reading those results right? Did someone that isn't Andy go 9's?
Actually there are more people named Calvin with 9 second passes then there are people named Andrew with 9 second passes at the Challenge. Just sayin'.
Unofficial sortable results with dynamic scores are here.
This is completely not affiliated with the real score keeper.
*promise this isn't a Rick Roll or spam. It's just a link to a google sheet I made.

I see I am not the only one that scraped data from the PDF results...
So was the much slower 2022 top 5 times due to the track being slick, or all the fast regulars not showing up?
In reply to Run_Away :
Mostly from not enough fast cars showing up, and the ones that could be fast all had issues.
I got cute and added a few columns to the results sheet.
These columns do math to determine what Drag times (And Delta) you would of had to run to get the Overall Dynamic victory, or the $2000 Dynamic Victory. I did the same thing on the Autox course to see what times people would of needed.
It's too bad there's not a car we could run at the challenge every year with the same tires etc, to establish an autoX and drag baseline, then scale results across years for funsies.

I thought the basuro blanco mr-2 was a pretty good benchmark for the last couple of years?
In reply to sleepyhead the buffalo :
Oh, that's a good point. Just gotta keep track of how certain overlapping cars cascade over the years and assume they're on the same tire (or dig into some build threads). I'd be really curious to know how builds like the WR Miata, Justang, and Ed Malle's foxbody would have stacked up the last couple years.

What would be interesting is if we chose a "control car" that was a generic make and model that we always brought a "new" one. Say the Basic Hyundai Elantra automatic. Something someone could say.. Rent. We then run that through the Autox and Drag just as a consistent reference. The challenge winner's dynamic time was a 60.15, the 2022 Elantra was 68.5 (or whatever).
We were looking to go a 10.50ish and get a top 5 spot with the BMW this year but alas.
car went a 10.90 on pretty low boost testing the weekend before.
random new issues and also couldn't even leave off idle without spinning tire.
