I'd probably go with whatever the core charge would be from your local boneyard.

Is this the engine that was in the car when you bought it? Yes or no.
If No, what did you pay for this bad engine? That's the number that goes in your budget.
if Yes, did you subtract anything from your budget when you removed it? If this engine came with the car *and* you didn't subtract anything when you took it out, then it is already in the budget as part of the baseline price of the car.
If neither of those are accurate, I'd support "core charge for long block from local u-pull"
I was assuming that this was an engine that you pulled out of something unrelated to the Poorsche and now is taking up space instead of having been returned somewhere as a core. If that's not a correct assumption, then what he said.
