Since I just got my grubby mitts on a tow vehicle, I'd like to extend a feeler to GRMers to see if anyone wants my pickup. 1984 SR5, Xtra cab, 2wd, 5 speed, 22re (yes it's fuel injected!). Cab and chassis solid, bed rusty, 131k miles. It has been my DD/bike hauler for a little less than a year, and I still drive it regularly.
Asking $2k, or trade. I like motorcycles and little Japanese stuff but if you have something you'd like to trade feel free to let me know. It's not on craigslist yet because I'm not sure I want to sell it, but a GRM home is a good home.
Bed looks really good for that era Toyota in Pa
I forgot, I'm also in the market for a car trailer, so I'd trade for one of those as well!
Is the bed salvageable, or has it gone too far? It doesn't look bad in the pics, but in person it could be worse. Also what is the hood ornament?
In reply to Mazdax605:
Probably salvageable, but it would require significant work. The driver's wheel well could probably be torn out by hand, and I haven't had the bed liner out to look at it lately but there is rust and a patch or two under there as well.
The hood ornament is a 3D printed Mack bulldog body with a Trollface for a head.
Nope. Was planning on throwing it on CL this coming weekend- drove it to work today!
How much money would I have to leave in the glovebox to trade for your REPU?
Sad thing is I had the REPU for sale about 4 years ago at $4k, and not one bite. Glad it didn't sell now.

Man, even with the rusty bed, I could flip that truck for triple out here. GLWS.
Bump. It's on craigslist now, which has been fun.

Oh man, I used to have an '85 xtra cab that was pretty much my favorite vehicle ever. You feel like heading down to east Tennessee anytime soon? We have that big national park. And um. Lots of beer and barbecue.
For serious though, does it still have the factory plastic timing chain guides? That's what killed my old 22r.
I wasn't planning a trip to Tennessee, but I would like to go at some point. The timing chain guides are plastic but looked good when the valve cover was off 20k miles ago- I don't know if they've been replaced.
So many craigslisters who want to export this thing to South America, so many utterly failed deals... $1500 to a GRMer.

Would you trust it to go back to NY?
Absolutely, I'm planning to drive it 200mi roundtrip to grab some parts tomorrow.
Trade for a Surley Pugsley? It's identical to this one. I don't have pics on my phone. http://m.ebay.com/itm/142003982433?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

I have kinda wanted one since they came out... if it's in good shape, good components, etc. then I may be interested.
It's in excellent shape and seen minimal use.
I was going to try and copy/paste from the site, but it's probably easier and more straightforward to have you follow the link to the components list. http://surlybikes.com/bikes/pugsley/bike_specs I'm trying to arrange this deal for my cousin. He needs/wants a vehicle more than another bicycle. I've lost count of the number of bikes he has. He just bought the Pugsley this year.
In reply to clutchsmoke:
I'm up for that trade if I don't have to do all the traveling to make it happen- too much other stuff happening to take a trip right now!

Like planning a wedding ?
Trade for a 93 Yamaha XJ600? It's ready to ride. I could meet you in the middle or ride it over and drive the truck back.
