So I'm finishing my build book and was wondering if I need to include the cost for sand paper and tape? Obviously I included the body filler and paint but was not sure about this. Also since I used bolts and fasteners I had on hand do I just put a fair market value on those items?
No on paper and tape, I generally put a line item on budget for "garage stock" akin to the value of fasteners i got from my bolt bin if i use any new generic fasteners that i buy in bulk.
Sandpaper and tape are tools.
Used nuts and bolts are super cheap if not free from the junkyard, no one is going to gig you for a few used fasteners. Half the time I end up with extra bolts from my challenge car from taking stuff off...
