i need a 6MT shift knob with reverse up and to the left. would also consider an old-school white 4- or 5-speed knob as long as reverse is up and to the left. challenge-priced, of course.

A local friend offered a machined alloy B&M knob the other day. Just says B&M, no a gate, would that work?
Focus/Fiesta ST has that same shift pattern. The stock knobs are often pretty cheap.
Like Mr_Asa said what about 3d printing? I have a carbon reinforced Nylon knob in my truck. Are you married to a certain thread pitch? I have another 3d printed piece I need to send you still.
In reply to Mr_Asa and RacetruckRon :
3d could work. it's going on to a Porsche Boxster lever, which is rectangular rather than threaded. AAZCD sent me a 5-speed knob with the shifter, i'm not sure but maybe the pattern is on a replaceable insert. i need to take a closer look at it. i kinda like the idea of an old-school white ball 4-speed knob with the 5-6 gate added via sharpie.
I have the original knob out of my S4 with that pattern, with boot. Couldn't give it away on eBay. Yours for the cost of shipping.

Thanks for the offer! can you post a pic? i googled it but there's about a thousand variants and IDK what's OE vs aftermarket.
I made one for the grm new years game out of the wood stopper that came on a bottle of spirits... Just removed the cork part and epoxied in a lugnut (find a nut with the right threads).
I have also considered doing similar with an old baseball.
Old school "aged" white with 3/8" 16 T fitting. Could probably polish it back to bright white if you wanted to. Price of FREE including shipping. If A/C doesn't want it I'll send it to anyone else in the USA who wants it, so I'd think no budget hit? Like a lot of other weird old crap I have I've never been able to get myself to just throw it out.

I used an fj cruiser knob in my mr2 spyder because it has the right shift pattern and had threads that matched.
looked like this only without the transfer case knob obviously

I'll take it if he doesn't just because it's cool.
That was my thought. I'm almost always too late for the cool stuff.

Sounds like a plan, but, if ya don't use it bring it to the 2025(?) challenge and give it to Stampie. Since you already got free stuff before it only seems fair.
Here's a shifter in a rallycross Boxster I know of. It had a 5 speed, but they work in a 6 as well. I hear they can be found online pretty cheap and you can get a more textured grip if you prefer.
Edit: Hotlinked picture replaced with edited version.

That's almost too nice, but I'll take it! I will PM my address. No rush, use the smallest USPS Flat Rate box that it will fit in.
