Not a 283 by my guess.
It's got all the Edeltorque crap on it so it may have been changed but there is no oil filler neck where it should be.
If it has got a 267, ugh.. I had one in a T/A that a previous owner stuffed in after he blew up the 301. It wouldn't pull a wet rag out of a dog's ass.
I knew it was horrible when I got outrun by a 3.8 fox-body Mustang.
