Inquiring minds want to know.
I propose:
"key party" class. Where teams prepare vehicles at home before arriving to the hotel or even in the parking lot until midnight Thursday night until midnight Friday morning.
At midnight All of those teams put a key with no keychain into a fishbowl. And they select a member from the team to blindfolded reach into the fishbowl and pull out a key.
Whatever key they pull out powers the vehicle that they will campaign in the autocross and drags. Scores timed scored would be split (.50 and .50) of what you prepared versus what you run within the class and at concourse you'd present what you prepared.
I heard multiple murmurings that a mid engined melee may rule the day.
I think a Mr.2 will do. (I could bring 2)

Either someone is a dyslexic date writer, or you have been waiting a loooong time for this opportunity!

Oh jeebus.
In reply to MrJoshua :
The car fell into my lap and I could not say "no". IDGAF if it is the first car I restore when I retire or if it gets done sooner, I have wanted one since the '70s.
If it becomes a challenge car I will buy a nice 2.0 for decent money and still be happy flogging this one around.
Ever see an air cooled VW on a 100 shot?
So are we defining mid engine as the all or just majority of the engine between the center lines of the two axles?
In reply to captdownshift (Forum Supporter) :
Naw front mid engine is mid engine unless they're just scared of being shown up.

Cowards!
I'm noticing how y'all got quiet once the front mid folks showed up. Scared you'll lose the mid engine sub class?

Stampie at a car meet: Hey everybody-look at my mid engined car! (points to miata)
Technically yes it could be called mid engine, to the point of competing against a bunch of mid-engined cars-no.
Bring what you want, but I won't consider it mid engined, and I will still beat you.
