The $2000 Challenge currently has a 75 car registration cap. Why? Because beyond that point we'll need more staff, more volunteers, more paddock space, more insurance, etc.

It looks like we're already at nearly 50 cars and the event is still two months away. Will this year be the first year ever that we have a waitlist?! Super excited to see everybody at Gainesville.

Would you be able to share how many have entered in the budget limited classes vs the unlimited budget classes?

If someone needs a spot at the end I'll give up mine. I'm way underprepared and my time is quickly slipping away.

Kent Finnerty?!?!  haven't seen that name in forever.  IIRC he built a tube frame mid engine car in a tent in his driveway about 20 years ago, maybe while he was still in high school?

In reply to Andy Neuman :

I may end up having to roll my registration to next year as well, I have 2 major things to get done in order for the escort to pass tech. I'm hoping to know by the 12th, I need to get at least one of the systems repaired by then to be confident that I'll be able to make it.

The boys and I will be unable to attend this year. It looks like this will be a really great event and it's neat to see the GRM entries in the list.

Hoping to work something out for 2023.
