Looking for a cheap 6 cylinder Falcon steering box, I have a 65, not sure which others years would match up.

thanks!

whats wrong with the box in the car? or is it mia? If you have one and its not to sloppy it can be adjusted, I did one once and it came out ok, but I don't have my restoration book any more so I can't describe the procedure. because '65 uses a solid column I am not sure if a fairlane or mustang column will swap right in. I forgot to mention to check/replace the idler arm, it was more of a problem on my stang than the steering box was. also worn out inner bushings and spring perch bushings are also common causes of ill handling.

Adjusting is easy. Look at the cover on top in-line with the output shaft you'll see a nut and a stud with an Allen hole on the end. Hold the stud via the Allen then loosen the nut a 1/2 turn. Screw the stud down 1/2 turn and try turning the wheels. Do this many times as needed BUT check for tight spots just off center of the steering wheel. If you find a tight spot back off 1/4 turn until gone.
