I had to click the link just because I couldn't remember what Lincoln Continentals looked like in 1982.

That looks like there's a lot of LTD underneath. I wonder if those are a Fox chassis.

The spindles will increase the ackerman on a Fox but you need sleeves for the Fox balljoints since the Continental's are larger.

Roughly a 4 door Mark VII.

That would have the cfi, not the sefi.

With a few upgrades it would make a wicked sleepah.

Edit: I was wrong, apparently they were carbed until '83.

I wonder what the engine and transmission issues are, and how hard are they to fix.

I would assume it has the same Achilles heel as the Mustang and Mark VII; the transmission t/v cable, one of the quickest ways to fry an aod.
