Definately mine, completely associated. This is the wife's old car.
What's not listed on CL is that the actual mileage is unknown. We believe it's in the 230-250k range. IMO, once you've hit 200k miles it's all gravy from there. The car is super solid for a little crap box. It's sitting on Vogtland springs and KYB struts with OEM new upper mounts last spring. Replaced the almost worn in two rear sway bar with one that had 40k miles on it. Needs tires. Rear windows have never worked while we have had it, but the AC is so cold you don't need it.
The GRM price is $1500. Please help me get it out of here.
No one? Not at all? great little beater that's indestructible with cold A/C and an honest to God real transmission.
In reply to Bobzilla:
in the CL ad you state that you wouldn't hesitate to drive it to California. would you be willing to deliver to the east coast as well or only the west coast?
You pay the gas for both cars, I'll drive it wherever you want it.
EDIT: Actually, I'd have to trailer it because it no longer has plates on it or insurance.
Someone needs this. It needs a good home.
There are easier options that require no work.
Bob dares someone to buy this and bring it to the Challenge huffing huge amounts of boost. He claims it'll take 20-25psi and make at least 200whp or something.
Hey, the 'Rican's were making 600hp on that SOHC motor. I think surely someone here could stuff 20psi into it and get 300whp. Plus it's light.... already has upgraded suspension. No nanny devices.
$1200. C'mon... someone needs a reliable beater.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure I have a few spare parts for it as well. 3 13" wheels with tires, a spare space saver, a spare rack, and maybe a p/s pump.

I might give you treefiddy.....
I wish my step-daughter was ready to drive a manual. Have an automatic you can swap in? I'd trade you a nice golf cart for it. :D

Do you ship to Canada?
berkeley canada. you'd probably try to buy it with your funny money too!
EDIT: This is a joke. Some may not understand that so I am making it obvious.
If i currently didn't have 1 progect too many, i'd be on this. Anyone want to grab a logbooked open class awd turbo talon?
$1000. Come get it. Seriously... I need this thing gone.
I am kinda amazed no one has bought this yet.
you and me both. great car, little money. No one wants it. I even tried to let the wife let me keep it for a challenge car and see how many boosts the little Alpha can handle.
What more do you need to know? The last years of the Scoupe Turbo manifold bolt on. It's a closed deck cast iron block, 12V SOHC aluminum head. It's damn near bulletproof. Transmission is the weak spot, but I'm sure someone here could figure that one out.
I could get a NOS manifold, and eGay turbo for about $300 combined Last time I checked. But the wife says no more projects and this needs to go.
Around Indy I have found that low priced cars don't sell until tax refund time. I sold six this year within 2 months. I am up to 4 in waiting this year so far.

You haven't converted that to a Chump/Hornet car yet?
And she's gone. New owner picked her up last night with a trunk full of useless (because they never friggin break) spares.
