Yeah, that's a nice ride for the price.
Some came with a 283 V-8, so a SBC should be easy enough.
That's very clean for living through 50 Michigan winters.

Studebakers of that era had a 289 that would run the ass off of a 289 hi-po Mustang. The Avanti and Hawk also had that engine, some with a factory supercharger.
That looks like a pretty good deal, especially if the price isn't "firm."
