Seems like it'd be a good project for somebody here.

I am pretty sure that a ski hill in New Hampshire hasn't looked like that in 4-5 months. Much more white required.
I'm pretty sure that's not a pic of the actual car. And if it is, well, it's got lots of exterior mods:
-Morrette style headlights
-non-stock grille
-Body color painted side rocker panels (they are usually black plastic)
-What appears to be a 02-03 STI hood scoop
-A waist spoiler (that just sounds funny, I envision large women lumbering around Walmart with one strapped to their belts every time I say it)
-Badly Photoshopped stock wheels so they appear to be the 17" JDM and Euro market versions
-a second set of side marker lamps installed on the fenders
And YES, you could order an automatic WRX back then. They had the 4EAT Subaru transmission and a different torque split for the distribution of the AWD, I think it was biased more toward the front instead of the manual transmission's 50/50 split. When I had my 2002 WRX, there used to be a guy that went up to New England Dragway with a 2002 auto sedan with a beefed up transmission and some other mods. It was faster than my car, ran low 13's. He could load the thing up nice on the line.
the picture is a minimum of 3 years old:

and google shows it to be a commonly shared pic all across the web.
walk away from the scam....

Are we talking about Kha0S/Andrew Hobgood here, with the WRB '02 slushbox sedan? All this sounds familiar...

I think that's the dude! The car was definitely WRB and it was a 2002. Last time I saw him racing it was the day when I learned what spun bearings in a EJ20 are like... in Pseudosport's WRX.
Sounds like we're thinking of the same dude. All stock car at the time save for axle-back, boost controller, and trans cooler. His drag days were done after the sun gear in the center diff exploded on the line at NED. Last I knew it later ate another automatic before he swapped in a Legacy SS 5 speed, and he still had the car as of a few years ago.
Small world!
