I've got for sale 2 Explosion proof lights, they are double ended. I'm guessing they would go in a vertical orientation.

They are made in TAIWAN. I'm guessing they are from the 60's or 70's only because that's when the majoriety of the taiwan items came into the US, before china was cheap. They are good quality, work, though they need a respray.

I'd like 50 each for the lights, plus $16 for shipping via the USPS priority mail. If you want both of them, we can work something out.

It's easiest contact me at my work. six one zero 559-8180 Ted

I'm confused, how can you tell they're explosion proof? (Explosion resistant?)

FWIW, Progress is a mass-market light fixture manufacturer that is readily available at an electric supply house. I can't vouch for this exact fixture, though.

Most explosion proof lights will have gasketing, etc on the bases & screw in portions. The wiring in a separate conduit (with gaskets) as well. that looks like a hazardous location / vapor tight fixture, FWIW.

Here is an explosion proof light:

Sorry. Those fixtures are not explosion proof.

The connections would all be inside a sealed area (ie: gasketed and threaded).

Dammit!!!!!

I have a feeling I may need explosion-proof lighting on the Miata, and thought I had found my solution.

Guess I continue my search.

Any budge on price since they are not explosion proof. They would look cool in the garage

Initially, I am just worried about a minor explosion once I actually get the new engine to fire...

Once the car is back on the road, well... It will be fine on the road. Parking it in the lot at my UAW job may jeopardize it in some way.

For the most part, I am... UAW leaves me alone, because once I explained to WAY too many of them why I drive Miatas, alot of them actually understand.

This. I work with XP enclosures every day in the mining industry. That isn't explosion proof.

Although given what I see from South Africa they might be there.

Isn't the answer obvious? Detroit.
