I bought one off a back lot twelve or thirteen years ago and ended up selling it on eBay because parts are/were a nightmare to find.
1 of 509 made! Of course mechanically it's identical to the Jensen-Healey which enjoyed a massive 10,000 unit production run. The body is only different in the roof and rear areas I think.

The phrase "awkward at best" comes to mind... I still like it though.
Just need to point out that it is a shooting brake, not a wagon. There is a JH at a wrecker near me for sale for $500.00 with no title. They are surprisingly worthless.

No it's not, I think shooting brake is a term that hasn't actually been used in the UK since the dinosaurs roamed the earth, only Americans trying to sound English use it. It's an estate car, not a shooting brake and not a wagon.
It's also super awesome and I want it!
The back window of a shooting brake opens up into the roof to allow you to stand up in there with a shotgun. If it doesn't have that, it's just a 2-door wagon.

The brits aren't really all that good at coupes. They'll often get one or two angles right, they're often pretty ungainly.
Note that the MGB GT was styled by an Italian, which is why it gets by. And the E-type is just the proof that even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
No interest in the J-H meself, I have enough needy kids.
I have a subscription to an English car magazine and they call every wagon a shooting brake. Including the db5 in the most recent issue.
