Does anyone have a REALLY little car body or body section for sale local to Massachusetts?
I have a VW dragster chassis and want to build it up like one of those Ol' Skool dragsters with the little Bantam bodies set way back with the doors cut out for the rear slicks to poke through.
Similar to this look:

I have all of the pieces to put it together (of course with a VW engine in the rear) and have a Fiat 600 front clip, so I COULD just graft another body half to the rear, but I'd rather find a small body shell (in ANY condition) and run with that. I love the idea of a set-back body with those long tubes running forward and just a Moon tank set between them. The body and engine all bad and bold out back. Nothin' going on up front and a big-assed party in the rear
Anyone have one or know of one for sale? Just a rusted rotted shell or old broken fiberglass thing would do fine. PLEASE let me know ! !
Thanks,
TC
I don't have one... but what about one of those Legends car bodies?
disclaimer Your pic didn't show so I'm just guessing at cool little car bodies that are easier to find than fiats
Kind of expensive, especially with the shipping and all, but right along the lines of what I'm sort of looking for. Open the doors up for the slicks, chop the nose into a taper, and hang the VW engine out the back partially covered by the trunk. A mini pick-up or panel truck would be even better.
Gotta keep a look out for a trashed British or French station wagon.
Or maybe just offer the tube chassis for sale in another post . . .
Keep banging Craiglist with funny words like Project, Renault, Simca, Peugot (poo-zhow), barn or abandoned, or pump in years; 1957, 8, 9, 60; that goes faster.
Out of curiosity, if you found a Legend car cheap and could stuff all that under say Renault Dauphene tin, it would be Challenge legal, correct?

.... and always keep $100 in your wallet where you used to keep the condoms, you never know when something cheap will roll out of a door.
We have a pretty decent two day swap meet around here come Spring. Two years ago there was a complete fiberglass 1955 T-Bird, always loads of fiberglass T-Buckets. Something might stumble by this year if I don't score anything else first.
Also have the chassis up for sale, so wait and see what happens first. Body or sale . . .

This is our 55th year. New England's oldest and largest flea market with 1,500 spaces. All spaces are 15 x 30 and level. Overnight camping allowed. No hook-ups - See more at: http://www.carshowsusa.com/swap_meets/massachusetts_swap_meets.htm#sthash.gvsBJeQG.dpuf
A dune buggy body would be wrong for this chassis, it needs something enclosed, low to the ground, and vintage. Being SO close to Cape Cod, old dune buggy bodies are in almost every back between here and Provincetown. I've owned three in the past two years, still have a old sand rail buggy along with the dragster chassis. Literally all over the place.
Now wouldn't THIS:

Be just the PERFECT body for a single seat VW dragster ! ? ! ? ! ?
Anyone in LA planning on a trip to New England soon with some extra room in their truck?
I have a cheap dwarf chassis and body in Ontario,no plans for a road trip but your more than welcome to come up and get it.
DARN ! ! !
Would that I could, that body would be perfection ! ! !
Thanks for responding though. Something to dream about . . .
