I had come to believe that they didn't exist. NMNA. Manual trans Explorer 4×4 in NJ

No photos of the inside. My guess is they fat fingered the "transmission" check box.

Ad mentions "5spd" and they definitely do exist according to the EPA. http://fueleconomy.gov/feg/PowerSearch.do?action=noform&path=1&year1=2000&year2=2000&make=Ford&model=Explorer%204WD&srchtyp=ymm

Here's another one I found a couple of days ago and had the same reaction when I saw the post. At 900 its cheaper than buying a Mustang donor and you get that great disc brake 31 spline 8.8 rear end. http://worcester.craigslist.org/cto/4959860099.html

In reply to tr8todd:

As long as you don't want to use the trans with a v-8. IIRC the manual trans Ford used was pretty marginal behind the 4.0 v-6 and wouldn't stand up to the torques of a v-8.

Damn... if I wasn't leaving for NH tomorrow, I'd be tempted to go look at that this week (for me or anyone else interested).
