I'm moving and need to sell my 12x16 workshop by Sunday evening or I have to include it in the sale of the house. If it comes to that I'm basically giving the workshop away. So if anyone is interested in a great wokshop at a really good price let me know. I'm in Columbus, GA south of Atlanta. The price doesn't include moving the building but I'll help in any way I can. Call or text me at 7Osix-3Ofour-652three if interested.
Banner Building aluminum sided building wired for 220v with two 22x36 windows, 48" door, 8' ceiling and 12" oc floor joists. It's two and a half years old and in great shape. Included with the builing are 6 flourescent shop lights, window ac unit, 12" exhaust fan, exterior dusk-to-dawn flourescent light, one 220v outlet, about ten 110v outlets (I think, I need count them again) and shelving. This isn't a cheap, junky building, it's well built and I've taken care of it. I have about $4k invested in it, asking $1400 OBO. Again, has to be sold AND moved by this Sunday evening.
I also have a workbench that I may just include in the sale.
And I have an upright Craftsman air compressor with a 30 gallon tank and 6hp, 150 psi, oil-free, 110V motor. It's about 5 years old, hasn't seen a lot of use and is in great shape. Asking $180 and this I can hold for awhile if needed.
Aw man, Just too far away dammit

Oh crap. I could use this, and I'm close. Plus, I've got a trailer.
Are you north or south of the city? 12' is too wide to haul, I think. I'm a little concerned about hauling near the base.
You know where I live. Think we can plan a route that will keep us out of trouble? Willing to escort with flashers?
Give me a call.
That's how I bought my first shop.
SvRex, haul it early on a Sunday morning before the church crowd heads out. When I hauled mine, I loaded it on a Saturday moved it Sunday with no problems down 15 miles of interstate and across two bridges.

I just gotta wonder... That tiny window ac unit built in the wall, is that just for looks?
How is it possible that has any effect on cooling down an uninsulated metal box out baking in the Georgia sun?

Guys,
12 foot wide is not legal on the highway. You will need to get an overdimension permit from the state DOT permit office. It will contain any requirements like escort vehicle(s), signs, flags, and specific route. Without the permit, you can be pulled over, parked, and heavily fined. And sued, of course, if things go wrong. Or you could just call a mobile home hauler company that makes these moves all the time and has the permits and equipment.

I am aware of that, Danny. That's why I brought it up.
While you are correct, GA is a LOT different than FL.

My bet is that you could probably get a permit for the load. Contact your DOT.

Ok guys, I've finally gotten enough local interest that I'm considering it sold. If somehow all the people in line pass on it I'll update this.
And the window ac unit actually worked pretty well. That unit is rated for up to 400 sq ft if I remember correct and I had under 200 sq ft. On a 100 degree day I could keep the shop at about 78 degrees.

Or: "Dude. It's Georgia."

I have a guy that has a mover scheduled for Monday morning but it's not sold until it's off the property. I'll let you know.
