Yeah, isn't that the point? After the suggestion of those godawful AMG wheels I thought someone would suggest a crocodile skin interior and a vinyl roof.

at least a cummins swap would roughly double the hp, quarduple the torque on this barge, and double the fuel economy. Please "ruin" all my cars... lol

This. Kinda destroys the purpose of a big MB like this. Nothing like the shaking of a 4BT to ruin a nice cruiser. Also reduces the power compared to the engine in it.

Now a OM603 would be a nice swap for a diesel.

I guess if I were to do a transplant, I would opt for the MB BlueTec diesel. A cool restomod cruiser.
