I searched "turbo" on my local CL 'cause I'm bored.

Because ( I bet ) it has a besquillion miles on it, and it's an Audi, i.e. expensive VW with more things to go wrong.

My uncle had one when they were new. I never thought I'd see another one.
The 626 is rad but check the rear strut towers for rust. That is the main thing that kills them. They can look perfect on the outside and have horrible rear strut tower rust.

Rare now. Rare with that mileage in that condition. Not particularly rare at the time, although most of them were V6's. If it were a five-speed, I'd be on a plane.
EDIT: Actually, as a '92, you're right, that's pretty rare.
BTW, 5-speed swap parts are the same across the board. So if you find any Shadow with a 5-speed in the local yard, you can grab the parts and put them on that auto-equipped car.
The only difference is the K-member bracket for the rear transaxle mount (easily fabbed) The V6 transaxle is different, but the shifter, cables, clutch linkage, etc is all the same.
You know, just sayin...
Also the auto in 92 should have a lockup converter which makes the 3-speed much more bearable, also sequential injection is added in 92 :)
