If the suspensions are stock, then yes, the '88 is more desirable.

Ok, called the guy. Car started as a zero option '88 coupe. 4cly 5-speed no A/C, no power acc. GT body was added later. 350 is sporting a carb. Does need some work, car's been sitting. needs brake bleed, clutch bleed/slave replace. Carb sounds like it needs a rebuild. Price is $1500 / get it out of my yard. I really don't need another Fiero. I've owned 3.
I really don't want to drive 2 1/2 hours to look at this and then have it follow me home. I really don't want drive to the 2012 challenge in a car with no A/C....
damn....does this mean I have to go buy it? I live in Bay city and work in Midland. Might have to go check it out. Not that I need it.....
