Not sure what all colors these came in, but white is kind of underwhelming.
About 2 weeks ago someone near my apartment passed me in a black one (that seems to be the most common color) tho it wasn't a turbo (were these available with a turbo?). There "appears" to be at least 2 of these in the Jax area.

Hemmings Sports and Exotics did an article on these a month or so ago. I never liked them when new, but I think that they're a little bit interesting now. However, the article points out that many, many parts are now scary hard to find.
I wonder if it's the V6 or turbo 4. Body parts are unique.
wana say they were only available in v6 auto flavor... was intrested till i heard that,
I think at first you could only get the v6, but you could get the turbo 4 later on in the production run.
First years (86-87) was V6 and stick axle. Second year (88) got IRS. 89-90 Turbo 4 and the V6. Final year (91) was Turbo 4 only. All of them are 80s style power everything coming in at ~3500lbs. Only 8518 produced . . . no manual transmission. But like most Volvos of the time, everything is plug and play between them. Think of the 780 as a 760GLE under the Bertone skin . . .
The skin itself is unique.
Unique tail lights, unique headlights, unique front fenders, etc.
