That's a good looking car.

Anyone else notice the font for the speedometer? Is that so it looks normal after drinking merlot all day long?

In reply to RossD:

I'm guessing that some PO "converted" it from km/h to MPH.

Odd looking tires on it. It should be on 70 or 80 series tires. If it weren't an autotragic it might be fun in a "slow car fast vs fast car slow" kind of way.

These things have a bizarre electro-mechanical transmission that is relatively simple. Basically a three speed syncro gear box with an electric clutch. I'll bet a box of donuts that the service switch for the transmission is set in the neutral position or the electrical feed needs some cleaning.

The switch labeled #1 is most likely set to the '0' position and that is why the car wont move.

I had a Dauphene automatic once, picture a clutch and a pressure plate with a heave oil between them. The oil has iron filings suspended in it, the "dynamo" creates a magnetic field that involves more or less iron filings giving more or less contact/traction.

They used it on their F1 cars also. Lotsa wine....

This is why French cars never sold well here.

Well one reason.
