What engine came in these? This looks interesting but no one needs a turbo diesel unicorn! I know the V6 gas ones were the PVR engine. If these were the VW or something this might be appealing.

Unless it was swapped, my 30 seconds of research tells me it's a Peugeot XD2 2.2 liter diesel.

As reliable as these cars seem to be in Africa, I don't think I'd bat an eye at owning this. Driving it? Eh, TDi swap sounds nice... or something else less slow.

Peugeot Diesel engines are right up there with Mercedes W123 diesels inasmuch as they'd be the vehicles the mutated cockroaches drive around after the Nuclear Holocaust. You might have to get parts shipped over from Europe though.
